This site is a labour of love, it's not easy to find someone (whose time is worth a penny or two) prepared to waste the inordinate number of hours needed to create such a site from scratch.

The original vision was that of a linked set of manuals, walkthroughs and partslists. Then I thought "sod this, let's add some colour and get some laughs", then redirected a lot of energy into it.

In such subjects, most of the info is in people's brains, and usually noone is sad/desperate/commited/enthusiastc (delete as applicable) to scuplt a website about it.


I happened to be going through a period of reduced self-actualisation (to put it mildly) at the time, so spending time on the website was a way to take my mind off it - as I can see now looking back.

Some people have an accident and become wheelchair-bound. All the energy now has to come out somehow, so they become painters/poets/internet-gurus/that-sort-of-thing

It ain't normal, I tell thy...


Would I do it all over again? Hell no...

But the kind of emails I get from people from all over the world is unreal --- it makes it all worth it in the end
