Welcome to my Flowbench page . .
.
This page will be updated as I go
along with my design and construction . . . if and when my flowbench
design every gets completed I will be offering these services to the
public.
I would also like to display other
flowbench designs and welcome your submissions for display on this site.
And maybe in the future also make this site a "clearing house" for
flowbench design and sharing of ideas.

UPDATE: This is a picture of my flowbench that is currently
under design/construction.
You can see the Casio PDA
in the middle of the bench that is used to take the flowbench
readings
I know it doesn't look "pretty" but it does work quite nicely.
I have a test plate that was flowed on 3 different benchs to give
an average, and my bench is within a few CFM's |

This bench is based on a pitot/annubar setup for
measuring airflow. It can test parts at 10" of water. Currently on
the prototype unit I am using a leaf blower motor or shop vac to
generate the flow depression.
The new bench I am building
will be much bigger and have upwards of 6-8 blowers this should
allow me to reach static pressure readings of 28" of water and much
higher CFM rates.
Like I said this is a prototype flowbench
so as you can see I have things running all over the
place!!

Here are some exclusive "spy" pics of the Casio
PDA/Sensor unit I am field testing.
Some close-up pics of the Casio unit showing some readings of a
test in progress and the flow sensor box mounted on the backside of the
flowbench. As you can see from the readings it is really accurate and
gives you a really good idea of what your flow is. I was testing at 8" but
the PDA is converting the flow over to 28"

This is my efriend Don's flowbench, Don and I have been trading
ideas for the past year or so.
His bench is based on the Audie Tech Flow computer
I hope my bench looks as good when its
complete!! |
We both have spent alot of time researching and playing
with various ideas and concepts to get where we both are today . .
. please feel free to ask any questions you might have and I will see
if I can help you along the way.
